The pro journey

From the job you spot to the paid invoice

A contractor's journey on Batizzy, in the real order: the first settings, where jobs come from, the life of a quote until payment, then the site itself. At each step, what your client sees.

01Getting started

Before your first quote

Six settings to do once. They decide which requests you see first and what gets printed on your documents.

  • The pro account

Sign up with your email address and choose the professional profile: it gives access to requests, quotes and invoices. The account type cannot be changed after sign-up.

  • Your company number

Enter your CBE number: Batizzy checks it with VIES, fills in the company name and address, and shows the CBE badge on your page once the number is confirmed.

  • Your area

List the postcodes you cover. Requests posted in those postcodes come to the top of your list.

  • Your trades

Your specialties and your company address decide which Batizzy trade and city pages your public page appears on.

  • Your IBAN

It is printed on your invoices and in their QR code. Without it, Batizzy will not issue an invoice: it is a mandatory mention.

  • Your catalogue

Works, stock and labour import from a CSV file. Columns are recognised in French, Dutch or English.

02Jobs

Where jobs come from

Batizzy brings you requests, without making you use only those.

Posted requests

Jobs from homeowners in your area

The list of available jobs shows every open request, those in your postcodes first. Each one has two buttons: message the client, or send a quote.

Answering costs nothing, whatever your plan. The client then compares quotes side by side, in the order they choose: a detailed quote, with a clear start date and validity, speaks for itself.

Your own clients

The clients you already have

Batizzy also works for your regular clients, registered or not. You create the quote with their email address; they open it through a link, choose options, ask questions and accept without an account.

On site, you can also have it signed on your phone. Without a signal, the signature waits on the device and is sent as soon as the connection is back.

Your public page can also receive appointment requests, if you open online booking in your agenda.

03Quotes and invoices

The life of a quote, until payment

Every step is dated. You know where each quote stands without having to call.

  1. Step 1. You write it

Lines come from your works, stock and labour, or from a quote template. Sections, options, variants and deposits are covered.

The VAT assistant asks the questions that set the rate: a home over ten years old, private use after the works, final consumer, or a VAT-registered client for reverse charge. It suggests the rate and the wording, and keeps your answers with the quote.

    • Before you send, Batizzy reads your lines and flags the usual omissions: demolition without rubble removal, work at height without scaffolding. You decide.
  2. Step 2. You send it, the client reads it

The quote goes out by email with a link, in your company's name. For clients whose address you have, it can go out from your own mailbox if you connect your mail server. You are notified at the first opening of the day.

The client asks questions on a specific line, and you answer on the quote. If they still have not replied after seven days, Batizzy reminds you.

    • Need a correction? Create a revision: once it is sent, the old version expires and can no longer be accepted.
Example history of a facade renovation quote: sent in the evening, opened by the client, a question on one line and the answer, accepted online with an option, deposit invoice issued, then the deposit received and matched from the bank statement.

Every step dated, no reminders by hand

  3. Step 3. The client accepts

Online, in their client area or on your phone. They pick their options and variants, and the acceptance keeps the time, the quote's fingerprint and the version of your terms and conditions.

For a request posted on Batizzy, the other quotes move to "refused" at the same moment. If yours is the one not chosen, your reminders stop on their own.

    • Deposit due on signature? The client sees the transfer QR code as soon as they accept.
  4. Step 4. You invoice

The accepted quote becomes an invoice: a deposit invoice, progress invoices as the works advance, then the final invoice, which deducts deposits already invoiced. Retention and credit notes are covered.

The number is set when the invoice is issued, never before. And Batizzy refuses to issue an invoice missing a mandatory mention: IBAN, company number, a business client's VAT number, date of the works.

    • Invoicing a business: download the UBL file, or send it through Peppol from Batizzy with a connected Peppyrus account, automatically on issue if you set it that way.
  5. Step 5. You get paid

Every invoice carries a transfer QR code and a structured communication. Import your bank's CODA statement: incoming payments are matched to your invoices.

Unpaid invoices get reminders 7, 14 and 30 days after the due date. The first reminder is free, and no penalty is announced to a private client before the period set by the Code of Economic Law.

  6. Step 6. The client leaves a review

Once the job is finished and closed, the client can rate you, and you can reply once. Nobody can leave a review on your page without having accepted one of your quotes.

04On site

On site, without paper

Site visits, worksheets and your team are handled from your phone.

  • Site visits

Your photos and notes stay with the visit, and you can share it with a member of your team.

  • Worksheets

The office prepares the worksheet (tasks, planned materials), the technician fills it in on site (hours, quantities, extra materials, photos), then the client signs on the phone or remotely through a link. Once signed, the worksheet is locked.

  • Team

Each member sees the jobs they are assigned to. For each person, you open or close worksheets, site visits and quotes, the latter read-only or with writing rights. A subcontractor never sees your quotes.

  • Agenda

If you open online booking, clients request a slot from your page; you confirm or decline. Your appointments can also be pushed to Google Calendar.

05Limits

What Batizzy does not do

Better to know before you sign up.

  • No commission

Not on jobs found here, not on your invoices, whatever your plan.

  • No payment handling

Money goes from your client to your bank account without passing through Batizzy.

  • No jobs handed out

The client chooses their quote. Batizzy does not split requests between pros.

  • No leads sold on

A posted request is visible to every registered pro, for free. Nobody buys exclusive access to a client.

06Questions

Pros' questions about the journey

How many pros can answer the same request?

Batizzy sets no limit. The client sees every quote received side by side and sorts them. Your quote is judged on its content: nobody can buy a better position.

Do my clients have to sign up to Batizzy?

No. A client outside the platform receives a link by email: they read the quote, choose their options, ask their questions and accept without an account. Their invoices reach them the same way.

How does Peppol work in Batizzy?

For every invoice to a business, Batizzy produces the UBL file. You can download it and send it through the access point of your choice, or connect a Peppyrus account, a free access point: sending and receiving then happen from Batizzy, and purchase invoices received go into your accounting export.

Who in my team sees my purchase prices and margins?

Only the members you give that right to. Modules open member by member (worksheets, site visits, quotes read-only or with writing rights), and a subcontractor never sees quotes.

Can I bring my catalogue over from other software?

Yes, through a CSV file: works, stock and labour. Batizzy recognises common column headings in French, Dutch and English; you check the mapping before importing.
