Homeowners and pros
One job, two sides: who does what
On one side, someone with work to do at home. On the other, the contractor or tradesperson who will carry it out. Batizzy puts them in touch, then works as the pro's tool all the way to the invoice. Pick your side, or read below how the two fit together.
I have work to do at home
You describe the job once, pros from your area send their quote, and you compare them before choosing. Batizzy charges you nothing.
I am looking for jobs, and a tool to price them
Requests posted in your area come first in your list. You answer with a quote made in Batizzy, then invoice in the same place. The basic account is free.
The same job, seen from both sides
Each step on one side opens the next on the other. Nothing moves without the homeowner's agreement, and the money for the works never goes through Batizzy.
- 01Homeowner
Describes the job
Typed or dictated, with photos, budget and postcode. The request stays a draft until it is posted.
- 02Pro
Spots the request
It sits at the top of the pro's list if they cover that postcode. Questions go through the project messages.
- 03Pro
Sends a quote
Built in Batizzy from the pro's catalogue, with the right VAT rate.
- 04Homeowner
Compares, then accepts
The quotes side by side, in the order the homeowner chooses. The acceptance happens online; the other quotes move to "refused".
- 05Pro
Does the work and invoices
Worksheets signed on site, an invoice drawn from the accepted quote, a payment QR code.
- 06Homeowner
Pays and leaves a review
Payment goes straight to the pro by bank transfer. Reviews open once the job is finished.
Before you choose your side
Is Batizzy a directory of contractors?
Partly. Every registered pro has a public page you can find by trade and by town. But the most effective way is still to post your request: the pros then come to you, quote in hand.
Do I need an account?
Yes, to post a request or send a quote; the account is free either way. A pro's clients who are not registered do not need one: they receive the quote through a link, read it and accept it without an account.
I run a building company and have work at home: which account should I choose?
The pro account. It also lets you post a request to get quotes from other professionals. The account type is chosen at sign-up and cannot be changed afterwards; if you picked the wrong one, write to us.
Does Batizzy work everywhere in Belgium?
Yes. A request is posted with a Belgian postcode, and the site exists in French, Dutch, English and German. During the beta, the number of registered pros still varies a lot from one region to another.
What happens when a quote is accepted?
The job moves to "in progress". The other quotes sent for that job move to "refused" and their reminders stop. The chosen pro sees the client's email address and prepares what follows: worksheets, invoices.
Which side are you starting from?
Signing up is free, whether you have work to do at home or jobs to find for your business.
