Frequently asked questions

Homeowners

How much does Batizzy cost a homeowner?

Nothing. Posting a project, receiving quotes, comparing them and messaging pros is free for homeowners. Batizzy takes no commission on the works: you pay the contractor directly.

How do I ask for quotes?

Create a homeowner account, then describe the job: what needs doing, the town, your budget and when you would like to start. Add a few photos, they help pros price the work. Once the project is posted, contractors and tradespeople from the area can message you and send a quote.

How do I compare the quotes I receive?

On the project page, the comparison view lines quotes up on the same grid: total incl. VAT, gap with the cheapest, deposit, validity, start date, reviews. They appear in the order they arrived; you can sort them by price, validity or rating. No pro pays to be listed first.

How do I accept a quote and pay the pro?

You accept the chosen quote online, from your account or from the link received by email. You pay the pro directly, by bank transfer or with the QR code on their invoice. The money never goes through Batizzy.

How can I tell if a contractor is reliable?

Check their company number in the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises, ask for a detailed written quote with VAT, and read the reviews. On Batizzy, the "CBE verified" badge shows that a pro's number has been checked, and a review is only possible after a job completed together.

Pros

How much does Batizzy cost a pro?

The free account stays free: unlimited quotes and invoices, payment QR code, Peppol file to download, unpaid invoice reminders. Paid plans add accounts, Peppol sending from Batizzy and automations; their prices are on the Pricing page. During the beta, everything is available with the free account.

How do I get the "CBE verified" badge?

In your settings, enter your company number. Batizzy checks it with VIES, the European Commission's service. If the answer is positive, the badge appears on your page. If VIES does not answer, the number is saved without the badge: run the check again later.

How do I receive job requests?

Projects posted by homeowners appear in your account, those in your service area first if you have filled it in. You message the client through the project's messaging to clarify the request, then you send your quote.

Can my invoices go out through Peppol?

Yes. Every invoice can be downloaded as a UBL file for your own Peppol access point. Sending and receiving from Batizzy goes through Peppyrus, a free access point, with the Pro and Pro+ plans (and for everyone during the beta).

Account and data

I did not receive the confirmation email. What now?

Check your spam folder. The page shown right after signing up lets you send the link again. If nothing arrives, write to us at contact@batizzy.be from the address you signed up with.

How do I download or delete my data?

In your settings, you can download all your data as a file and ask for your account to be deleted. The request is handled within a month: your profile is anonymised and your login deleted. Quotes and invoices are kept for ten years, as Belgian accounting rules require.

Where is my data stored?

The database is hosted in the European Union and the application's functions run in Dublin. The privacy policy lists every processor, including those based outside the Union.

How do I report content or behaviour?

Once logged in, the report button on a profile, message, project, quote or post alerts the moderation team. Without an account, the "Report content" form is open to everyone: each report is recorded and an acknowledgement is sent by email.

Did not find your answer?

Write to us at contact@batizzy.be, mentioning the page and, if possible, the project or quote. For a disagreement with a pro or a client, the Disputes page explains what to do.

A project coming up?

Describe it once: contractors and tradespeople from your area send you their quote in the same format. Free, no commission.
