Brand, model, output and warranty of the boiler or heat pump: the quote names them.
The VAT rate
Since 29 July 2025, a gas, oil or coal boiler is invoiced at 21%, even in a home more than ten years old. Check the rate applied.
What the service includes
Cleaning, adjustments, flue gas check, certificate: ask what is included before booking.
Removal and connections
Removing the old appliance, adapting the flue, commissioning: on a serious quote these are separate items.
The company number
The quote shows the company's CBE number. Check it on the public search of the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises before you sign.
VAT, deposit and validity
The quote states the VAT rate applied, any deposit and how long the price is guaranteed.
