Peppol invoicing for tradespeople and contractors

Since 1 January 2026, an invoice between VAT-registered Belgian businesses must be electronic and structured, in practice over the Peppol network. Batizzy produces the UBL file of every invoice and credit note. Connect your Peppyrus account, a free access point, and you send and receive invoices without leaving Batizzy.

What you do with it

  • One UBL file per invoice

    Invoice or credit note in Peppol BIS 3.0 format, ready to download from the invoice. It stays available even if you send it another way.

  • Your Peppyrus account in four steps

    You open a free account with Peppyrus, request your Peppol identifier, create an API key and paste it into your settings. Batizzy checks the key, then stores it encrypted.

  • The recipient found by their number

    Batizzy looks up your client on the network by company number, then by VAT number, and checks that they accept this type of document before sending.

  • Every sending tracked

    Queued, transmitted, delivered or failed: the status shows on the invoice, with the reason for a rejection and a button to send again.

  • Your suppliers' invoices too

    Received invoices sync every morning and on demand: supplier, amount, UBL file and PDF version. You can assign one to the actual costs of a job.

  • Sending on issue, if you want

    An option sends every invoice issued to a business client over Peppol, with nothing else to do.

Frequently asked questions

Is Peppol mandatory for a tradesperson?

Yes for invoices between VAT-registered Belgian businesses, since 1 January 2026, with a few exceptions. An invoice to a private individual is not concerned: it still goes out by email or on paper.

How much does Peppol cost with Batizzy?

Peppyrus is free. During the beta, sending and receiving from Batizzy are open to every account. After the beta, they will be part of Pro (100 documents a month) and Pro+ (500); the UBL file stays in the free account.

I am already on Peppol with other software. What now?

A company number is registered with only one access point at a time. Peppyrus handles the transfer from its portal. You can also keep your current access point and download the UBL file of each invoice.
